Will using compatibles invalidate my warranty?
The use of compatible alternatives to vendor originals will NOT invalidate your OEM warranty. Please refer to Cisco’s detailed policy regarding the use of the 3rd party components, such as memory, on their website.
Please also refer to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act which regulates that the OEM cannot state that the system warranty is void if non OEM original peripherals are used.
